Gucci 9 is on everybody’s lips, and for good reason. The luxury brand’s recently opened global client services entirely dedicated to human connection is taking unimaginative customer service to new heights. With a larger-than-life office located in the heart of the leather district of Florence, Gucci is revolutionizing the world of client advising and offering PolimodaPeople the opportunity to be part of their diversity-centric culture with a one-of-a-kind Job Placement Day organized by the Polimoda Career Office specifically for our alumni community.
In an ocean of remote services and technology, it can be difficult to feel connected. When we need help, we want to feel heard. This is one of the many reasons why Gucci invented this anything-but-ordinary client services center. Initially, Gucci 9 was created to assist e-commerce clients, but the evolution of the Gucci customer lead to a complete redesign of their customer approach. Just like every product, service and employee at the luxury brand, Gucci 9 is some kind of wonderful, dedicated to giving clients a new kind of customer experience online and in-store through human contact and personalized advising.
With a growing community of multilingual client advisors, the global Gucci 9 network includes offices in New York, Tokyo, Seoul and Singapore. By 2020, the five centers will employ over 500 client advisors. This kind of multinational workplace is a fantastic opportunity for our alumni, and one of the many reasons why Polimoda is known for “bridging the gap between education and the industry.”
During this special Job Placement Day, Polimoda’s Career Office hand-picked 13 qualified alumni from 8 different countries and sharing 6 languages between them for a day of one-on-one interviews and shadowing at Gucci 9.
Accompanied by Head of Education Gabriele Moschin, PolimodaPeople explored the 2300 square meter space and viewed the state-of-the-art facilities. Following the tour, our alumni were interviewed by Gucci 9 HR, had lunch with potential colleagues and were even given the opportunity to sit beside a Gucci Client Advisor for a one-on-one shadowing experience, helping them experience first-hand the importance of human connection while advising.
“At Polimoda, we’re used to a methodological approach, giving you metaphorical ‘keys’ to unlock your future. This time, with this strong partnership with Gucci 9 and the great work of our Career Office, we’ve given you both the keys and the doors… It’s now up to you to make your entrance,” says Moschin. From creating lasting connections with brands to matching students with potential jobs, these are the kind of opportunities Polimoda’s Career Office is focused on.
All of the alumni selected for this job placement are multilingual graduates from a variety of Polimoda Undergraduate and Master Fashion Business programs.
