Overview

Polimoda and Sup de Luxe have joined forces to present an exclusive summer program aimed at exploring the intricate balance between tradition and modernity within the fashion industry. This course is designed to traverse the vibrant cities of Paris and Florence, offering participants a rare glimpse into the worlds of innovation, craftsmanship and heritage that underpin the luxury fashion sector.

Course

Polimoda and Sup de Luxe unveil an exclusive one-month Summer Program in Fashion Business: Legacy and Innovation, seamlessly blending Parisian allure with Florentine tradition. The journey commences in the heart of Paris, within the prestigious confines of Sup de Luxe, mere steps from the Eiffel Tower and the legendary fashion boulevards of Avenue Montaigne. The initial two weeks is devoted to unraveling the complexities of French brand heritage and branding management. Participants are immersed in a rich curriculum that spans creative ideation, the advent of new luxury paradigms, and the nuanced interplay between fashion and digital innovation, spotlighting pivotal areas like digital marketing, communication strategies, and cutting-edge digital trends, including the metaverse and AI.

The last two weeks will take place in Florence, ensconced within the historic elegance of Polimoda’s Villa Favard, to scrutinize the legacy of Italian fashion. This phase is an exploration of the core values, product ethos, and strategic frameworks that have cemented Italian luxury fashion’s global reputation. Emphasizing the sociology of fashion, the quintessence of Italian leather craftsmanship, and the intricacies of merchandising and retail management, the curriculum aims to cultivate innovation and mentor the forthcoming cadre of fashion visionaries.

The program, totaling 90 hours, is evenly split between Paris and Florence, with 45 hours dedicated to each location. This structure allows for an in-depth exploration of both the French and Italian fashion industries, enhanced by visits to significant sites and an examination of the foundational aspects of Italian fashion.

The curriculum is taught by experienced professors and professionals from both Sup de Luxe and Polimoda, combining traditional classroom learning with practical, on-site experiences. This approach helps to establish a direct link between students and the broader luxury and fashion industries.

At the end of the Paris portion of the program, participants receive a certificate from Sup de Luxe, recognizing their proficiency in French luxury brand management. Following the completion of the program in Florence, a certificate from Polimoda is awarded, acknowledging their in-depth understanding of Italian fashion’s heritage and its current innovations. This prepares the participants for careers in the dynamic field of luxury fashion.
