FASHION|MARKETING

The aim of this course is to introduce participants to the themes of marketing applied to the fashion system.
The marketing area is responsible for defining the company and trademark’s identity and for developing all the positioning strategies for the product, the price, advertising, public relations, new technology, merchandising, and the sales outlet.
There are a great many roles in marketing, and therefore wide-ranging employment and career opportunities as shown by the rate of employment of those completing Polimoda’s three-year Strategic/Operative Marketing course, stable for years at 95%.
The advantage of following a fashion marketing course rather than any other general marketing course is that it combines basic marketing knowledge and in-depth knowledge of the dynamics of the fashion system.
Those wishing to work in marketing today need sound, specific training, and in-depth knowledge of the sector, fashion products, languages, new technology, markets, and social and cultural trends. They need to be able to interpret the market and its changes, and follow the timing of the fashion system. Fashion is linked to modernity. It seems to bow to the human need to keep with the pace, to know how to capture and interpret new ideas, and experiment new things.
Those who work in marketing need to be able to integrate and coordinate functions, but above all need a great talent for strategy, vision and planning.

INFORMATION|ABOUT|COURSE

I should choose the summer Fashion Marketing course:

     * - if I am interested in Fashion Marketing and I need more information to finally make up my mind (if it really is the thing for me, if Polimoda can give me what I’m looking for, if I’m ready to invest my energy in this venture). To this end, we advise you to reflect on the possibility of also attending the afternoon career guidance course on Job Profiles, a journey through the roles and tasks of the various figures working in the fashion system. It will help you get a better picture of who does what inside (or outside) a fashion company.

    * - if I have already decided to enrol on a three-year Polimoda course in fashion marketingn and I want to prepare myself for the entrance exam (for participants of the summer course there are special exams based on the work done during the course).

Polimoda accepts students from the age of 16.

There isn’t any admission exam but we please ask you to send us you cv so that we can better organize the class.

from 1st to 30 July 2010
4 hours per day from Monday till Friday

ORIENTATION DAYS: 1 and 2 July 2010

* If the course will not start, we will refund you the entire fee except for 50 euro as the admission tax.
