Enea Burattoni

Enea Burattoni has been interested in fashion since childhood when he was exposed to tailoring and dressmaking by his mother at 5 years old. He was one of the 25 candidates selected to study at Polimoda when the Institute was established in Florence. Winner of a scholarship, he completed his studies in New York at FIT.

In the early 1990s, while studying in NYC, he returned to Italy during summer and winter vacations to work with Designer Raniero Gattinoni in Rome, who together with Versace, Valentino, Ferrè, Armani and others, was part of the worldwide fashion event called Donna sotto le Stelle, promoting Italian Designers’ collections down the Spanish Steps, with looks worn by the super models of the time. 

Once graduated, Burattoni Stayed in the USA until 2018, working between New York and LA. In 2009, he worked for BCBGMAXAZRIA, designing for Hervé Léger, Max Azria, BCBG Runway Collections, on fashion shows at New York Fashion Week with stylists like Camilla Nickerson, Laura Ferrara and others. At BCBGMAXAZRIA, Burattoni dressed celebrities such as Rihanna, Beyoncé, Angelina Jolie, the Kardashians and many others, creating custom looks for special events like the Oscars, Music Awards, and Beyoncé’s world tour. In LA, Burattoni also worked for Halston and Tadashi Shoji.

In 2018, Burattoni moved back to Italy and opened his own line and accessories line, Enclò, leading him to be hired by Giorgio Armani as a Fashion Designer Consultant. For 3 and a half years, he worked with design teams and Giorgio Armani himself. Burattoni was also Creative Director at Amedeo Testoni for 3 years, from 2021 to 2024. From 2019 Burattoni, while consulting for Armani and Testoni, he started his teaching career at Polimoda.
