The Master in International Fashion Business is an unparalleled program building fearless leaders in the business of fashion’s global world. This key figure optimizes the market where it exists and invents one where it does not, daring to make risky decisions that have the potential to maximize sales. 

By focusing on advanced big data analysis and management to decode the future, knowledge is instilled by an approach focused on entrepreneurial, statistical, data-driven, administrative and legal elements.

The Master in International Fashion Business is composed of three main areas: Fashion Analysis, including fashion trend forecasting, analytics, quantitative methods for business and design thinking; Report and Data Production, encompassing digital marketing, omnichannel marketing, data analysis, strategic planning and Business Application, incorporating import/export, commercial development, fashion operations as well as online and offline distribution.

This intensive specialization program is run by teachers and international lecturers with experience, ensuring hands-on and in-depth knowledge of the industry. It includes field trips to a major company, a trade fair and internship opportunities. Students will also have the possibility to visit WGSN headquarters in London or a Fashion Show in London. The program will be completed through the application and completion of two main projects: a startup as a product-driven company and the overseas expansion of a finance-driven label.

Lessons take place from January to September and amount to a total of 700 contact hours. Thereafter, there is the possibility of completing the program with an internship in a fashion company, leading to the overall obtainment of 80 credits. English language proficiency and attendance are required. Candidates are eligible and selected after the admission process. 

Upon completion of the Master, students will be automatically given the possibility to partake in the Polimoda Talent program.

Hirofumi Kurino
Co-Founder of United Arrows

Born in New York and raised in Tokyo, Hirofumi Kurino is the co-founder of Japanese retail group United Arrows. With an Art History and Semiotics Degree from Wako University in Tokyo, Kurino began his career in the late 1970’s as a sales person and assistant buyer for retail chain store Suzuya. He then moved on to Beams for an 11-year tenure, climbing the ranks to brand director. In 1989, he founded United Arrows, serving as managing director, buyer and chief creative officer before becoming senior advisor for creative direction in 2008. Over the course of his career, Kurino has been recognized for his excellence with a slew of accolades and awards including being named one of the 500 most influential people in fashion by The Business of Fashion in 2014, receiving an Honorable Fellowship from the Royal College of Art (RCA) and being chosen as a member of the jury for LVMH Prize since 2014. He is also one of the first Tokyo-based retailers to join the Ethical Fashion Initiative.

The upcoming edition of this program will begin in January 2022. Polimoda will continue monitoring the Italian government’s safety advice and update its procedures as requirements change. Due to Covid 19, field trips and visits that cannot be done safely will be postponed and/or cancelled. If the conditions do not allow an experience on campus, we are prepared and committed to moving courses online until we are able to welcome our students at school.
