The latest episode has arrived and it’s making a splash. Window to Wonder dives headfirst into Case of Wonders, the creative initiative conceived by Fabio Messana and Paolo Conventino to push Polimoda’s Fashion Styling students beyond conventional thinking and into uncharted creative territory.
A visual merchandising workshop run in partnership with Aspesi brought together four student groups from the Undergraduate in Fashion Styling for an immersive two-day experience, guided by Aspesi’s Head of Marketing and Communication Antonio Zuddas and Head of Visual Merchandising Marco Zecca.
Considering the Milanese brand’s quiet sophistication, ironic wit, and uncompromising approach to quality, students were challenged to transform a real retail space into a stage for emotional storytelling. They were asked to design a shop window concept for the Aspesi menswear store on Via Porta Rossa in Florence, to be unveiled the same week as Pitti Uomo 2026.
Over the course of the workshop, each group developed and presented their visual merchandising proposals to the panel. The session was a genuine creative exchange, part critique, part collaboration, where students received direct feedback from the brand and were pushed to sharpen their concepts, deepen their research, and translate Aspesi’s distinctive DNA.
Armed with that feedback, the groups reworked their proposals and returned with refined moodboards, set design ideas, and styling directions that responded both to the brand’s vision and to the spirit of the brief: make them stop, make them feel, make them enter.
The winning concept will be installed in the Aspesi store window in Florence in June, offering one group the rare opportunity to see their work come to life in a real retail environment.
Good luck to all the students: stay tuned to see the final result!
