On Tuesday, April 16th, Polimoda will welcome international fashion expert and former Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Ukraine Olga Sushko to the Rendez-Vous stage to discuss the leading agents of change in Ukrainian fashion. Revealing their captivating success stories and influence in Ukraine, Sushko will touch on how these talents have managed to beat the odds and shake up the industry in a country with a finite fashion education.
Olga Sushko is a force to be reckoned with. After completing a master’s in Publishing and Editing at The Institute of Journalism – Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiev and a master’s in Public Relations at Münster University in Germany, the creative thinker spent the early years of her career working as a journalist before evolving into a prominent editor.
No stranger to unconventional ideas, Sushko ignited the fashion industry – from experimental photo shoots to radical art experiments – as Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Ukraine from 2016 to 2018. Devoted to maximizing professional community, Sushko is fully cognizant that being a super-connector is key to landing internships and building meaningful business relationships.
On the occasion of her Polimoda Rendez-Vous, the editorial maven will highlight flourishing Ukrainian designers in the global fashion landscape without neglecting the country’s photographers, stylists and artists. From the Ukraine to our Polimoda stage, Sushko shows us that taking risks is imperative for a fighting chance in the industry.
