From Spring 2027, a new partnership between Polimoda and TCU (Texas Christian University) will allow TCU fashion merchandising students the opportunity to study a semester in Florence, choosing between two different pathways: Fashion Design & Business, or Fashion Design & Crafts.
The collaboration provides an immersive experience in the Italian fashion system through coursework, direct contact with industry, and the city’s cultural context, setting it apart from a traditional study-abroad experience. Students will have access to an established network of industry professionals: Polimoda regularly brings executives, designers and creative directors from brands into the class room, for a hands-on model that connects academic learning to real-world case studies.
Beyond student mobility, the partnership is envisioned as a long-term collaboration, with potential developments in academics, research, faculty exchange, and joint communication and internationalization initiatives. The collaboration pairs TCU’s business and merchandising foundation with Polimoda’s creative, industry-connected approach, and both schools see it as the start of a wider relationship spanning research, faculty exchange and possibly joint programs.
