Course
A fashion business plan is a structured document that provides a detailed outline of a company’s goals and how it plans to achieve them in order to start up a fashion business.
The Fashion Business Plan short course teaches students how to create a fashion business plan, prioritizing innovative ideas for the fashion industry.
The aim of this course is to create a business plan with a well-developed and innovative business model and clear objectives for the different parties involved, such as marketing or financials, in order to define short-term, mid-term and long-term targets. The ultimate goal is to clearly outline your direction and pitch your idea to potential investors in order to start up a fashion business.
Alongside the development of an actual business plan, students will also focus on how to present their idea with a pitch deck presentation and speech, known as the elevator pitch.
During this course students will develop soft skills, such as project management and planning, leadership, delegation & time management, as well as problem solving abilities and the various hard skills required to launch their own start-up company, such as financial management.
The program also includes visits to some of the most iconic fashion venues in Florence, such as: Gucci Garden, the museum dedicated to the Italian fashion house with classic clothing and handbag exhibits, and the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, a fashion museum dedicated to the life and work of Italian shoe designer Salvatore Ferragamo and his eponymous company.
