Stefania Ricci graduated in art history and specialized in fashion history, collaborating as a curator and researcher in the exhibitions of the Galleria della Moda e del Costume of Palazzo Pitti, Pitti Immagine, and Pitti Filati, and for Ferragamo and Emilio Pucci brands, for which she curated the archives.
She has been the director of the Ferragamo Museum since 1995 and of the Ferragamo Foundation since 2013.
An Accademica delle Arti del Disegno, she is on the board of directors of Museimpresa, on the jury of Its, and is an advisory board member of Arcademy. In 2019, she was appointed a member of the study commission for the identification of public policies for the protection, conservation, valorization, and enjoyment of Italian fashion as cultural heritage.
A university professor, she has published books and catalogs on topics related to the world of fashion and fashion archives.
