In a supportive movement that goes from children to children, Polimoda provides its experience in training and development of creativity to create the first Junior Summer Camp entirely dedicated to the theme of fashion. In collaboration with Pitti Immagine and the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum, this initiative is in favor of the Fondazione Meyer, which operates exclusively in support of the Meyer Children’s Hospital of Florence, one of the Italian excellences for the care and health of children.
An educational project aimed at children from 8 to 12 years, aimed at translating the natural interest of children to fashion in an artistic and creative journey that can stimulate imagination and intercultural exchange, with a program of lectures and workshops on the realization of clothing and accessories.
The proceeds will be donated to support the Fondazione Meyer, an institution established as a support for communication, marketing and fundraising activities for Meyer, the Children’s Hospital of Florence, a point of reference for national pediatrics for research, innovative methodologies of care and for the child.
The program includes lectures and workshops on the theme of fashion, supervised by teachers with many years of experience in the sector and educators specialized in training courses with children. The ratio between teachers and participants is 1 to 5, so as to allow constant support and maximum attention to individual needs.
During the week there will be a visit to the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum and at the end of the course the participants will create their own fashion creation that they can wear and carry with them. Lessons will be held in Italian and English, encouraging intercultural exchange between children of different nationalities.

Junior Summer Camp is held in Villa Favard, a splendid Renaissance palace surrounded by a large garden on the banks of the Arno river, located a few steps from the historic center and the Santa Maria Novella train station.
The young students will have at their disposal the classrooms of the institute, the Library – the largest documentation center on fashion in Europe – and the Polimoda Café, a café bar in the Villa’s garden, reserved exclusively for the students of the institute.
