Welcome to School represents the official start of the academic year, bringing together students and faculty from design and business departments to start the year in style. This year’s celebration was even cooler as it marked the opening of the new Polimoda Manifattura Campus, and everyone was invited!
Under the theme “The Real You,” this event was all about letting true colors shine, whether a new student or a seasoned Polimoda pro. Outfits were up to date, colorful, eccentric and chic. The real personality of Polimoda students came to the fore and the atmosphere of the evening was joyful and energized.Â

Beneath the iconic clock tower, first-year students gathered in the central square facing Polimoda’s B6 building. They eagerly anticipated glimpsing their names in the personalized welcome message, capturing the moment with photos and videos to share on social media. This unique greeting not only marks the beginning of their Polimoda adventure but also sets an inspiring tone for the journey ahead.
The new 10,000-square-meter campus, lit up red from within, was buzzing with energy; new friendships blooming, old pals catching up, and creative sparks flying everywhere. The Welcome event itself was held on the ground floor of the central building at the Manifattura Tabacchi site, and it was the place to be!
With the new campus boasting unprecedented square footage of photo studios, workshops, labs and classrooms, Polimoda now has room for everyone. On opening night, nearly 1,000 students from 72 countries showed up to meet each other and get inspired.Â
As these budding designers, stylists, art directors and fashion business aces dive into the new year, we can’t wait to see what kind of magic they’ll come up with. Here’s to letting creativity run wild. Polimoda students, go show the world what you’ve got!
