Welcome to Polimoda’s Junior Summer Camp, an innovative program designed to uncover and cultivate the creative potential of young fashion enthusiasts through the captivating medium of fashion.Â
The 2024 Junior Summer Camp, in collaboration with Pitti Immagine, focused on “Sensorial Fashion”. 26 participants were encouraged to unleash their imagination and connect their creative identities to the rich tapestry of emotions and the five senses. Through a thoughtfully crafted three-step process, students embarked on a journey of research and idea development, creating moodboards inspired by evocative keywords, perfumes, and textures. This immersive approach allows young creatives to translate their emotions and sensory experiences into tangible fashion concepts.

The second phase of the program challenged participants to bring their ideas to life by designing an outfit, including a dress, a bag, and various accessories. With access to Polimoda’s extensive resources and expert guidance, students experimented with shapes, draping, and detailing to construct their unique creations. The camp culminated in a grand fashion show, where budding designers proudly showcase their work. By the end of the course, students had produced a moodboard, a collection of drawings and collages, and a complete outfit, marking a significant step in their fashion journey.
This year, Junior Summer Camp at Polimoda is in favor of Andrea Bocelli Foundation and its project “ABF Educational Hub in Sforzacosta (MC)”, which will see the complete renovation of the primary school in Sforzacosta, a town in the province of Macerata in central Italy, after the devastating earthquake which struck the region in 2016.Â
