Details about the Digital Covid Certificate/Green Pass

Polimoda is committed to keeping our community safe and healthy. We look forward to welcoming students back to school in Florence for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Effective September 1st, the Government of Italy has issued an ordinance (Law Decree no. 111) on August 6th, 2021, stating that students and faculty of Italian universities must be in possession of a Covid-19 Green Pass, EU Digital Covid Certificate or equivalent recognized certification to attend in-person activities on campus. Therefore, in order to apply the provisions of the decree at Polimoda, students, teachers and staff will need a Green Pass to access all three of our locations.

A Green Pass is issued to individuals who have had a first dose or a single vaccine (recognized by the European Medicines Agency) for 15 days, have completed their full vaccination cycle, have tested negative to a molecular or antigen swab test in the past 48 hours or have recovered from Covid-19 within the past six months and are no longer in isolation.

EU Digital Covid Certificates issued from states in the European Union are valid in Italy, while non-EU students are recommended to bring the documentation necessary to them as requested by international and Italian requirements. Those with preexisting conditions or allergies who are unable to get vaccinated will need to present a vaccination exemption certificate.

For more information, we kindly invite our students to read the detailed email they received from their advisors. Do not hesitate to contact your Polimoda advisor if you have any questions or concerns.

Polimoda is looking forward to safely welcoming students back to Florence and will always prioritize the health and safety of the community.
