Course

The Master in Collection Design is a constructive program created to develop Fashion Designers who master technical skills and are capable of producing a sure-fire collection that is fully fashioned, well finished and merchandisable.

The collection will be ready for industrialization in either classic, casual, street, or other categories and presented in an original way to show the ultimate expression of a brief.

This program is composed of three main didactic areas: Craft, the acquisition of cultural and technical skills; Design, the research and conception of a collection and Development, the creation, fashioning and finishing of the garments. The final presentation consists in the exhibition of a personal portfolio and public performance of a collection.

This intensive specialization program is run by resident teachers from the industry and international guests. It features workshops in tailoring techniques, draping, pattern making and printing, constant teamwork with master artisans and a special applied project with an external company as well as internship opportunities.

Lessons amount to a total of 700 contact hours and the overall obtainment of 80 credits.

This course is completed with the possibility of an internship in a fashion company.

Candidates with work experience or relevant studies in fashion and related fields are eligible and selected after the admission process.
