A sunny September in Milan, during Fashion Week, saw Undergraduate in Fashion Design Management alumnus Shivin Singh bring his brand Absent Findings to Lineapelle Designers Edition SS26, and be named as one of the New Waves 2025 at the Black Carpet Awards.
A vibrant presentation of an emerging brand that is making a splash in the fashion world. Absent Findings is not just a brand, but a moment. At Lineapelle, Shivin Singh created a meeting place for people to connect through garments made from repurposed materials that carry memory forward while opening new possibilities.
The collection, titled “Early to the Party”, demonstrates a wealth of cross cultural and multi genre sources of inspiration. Inspired by Andy Shauf’s album, “The Party”, it deepens an exploration of memory, architecture, and cultural heritage through a surrealist lens for Spring/Summer 2026.
The collection explores drape and technical construction of sari’s via fascinating new forms. The monumental geometry of the Palace of Assembly in Chandigarh influences the collection’s structural silhouettes, while the subdued yet charged palette of Giorgio de Chirico’s metaphysical paintings inspires architectural folds and color choices. Amongst the accessories, sculptural yet functional handbags embody this architectural and textural vision.
At the Black Carpet Awards, a global gala event that empowers Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Shivin Singh was named as one of the New Waves of 2025: ten emerging talents who embody the promise of a new creative generation. Congratulations Shivin for this prestigious nomination by a jury containing some of the most important names in fashion.
