On February 3, 2026, Polimoda presented Absent Findings latest collection at Dubai Fashion Week, a dreamlike exploration of memory, surrealism, and cultural heritage. Creative Director Shivin Singh brought to the runway a vision suspended between clarity and distortion, where silhouettes linger like ethereal moments, vivid and intangible.

Drawing inspiration from Salvador DalÃ’s Head of Roses, David Lynch’s fragmented narratives, and Francis Bacon’s bruised color palettes, the collection, titled Not What You Think, exists in a liminal state, the sensation of discovering something profound while half-asleep. Elongated proportions, controlled drapes, and subtle structural interventions define garments that feel both architectural and deeply human, precise yet fluid, resolved yet deliberately unresolved.
A Polimoda alumnus who studied Fashion Design Management, Singh’s path from finance to fashion reflects the brand’s own philosophy: being “absent” from expected paths to find what truly resonates. His naturally curious and artistic vision merges personal cultural references, repurposed heirloom saris, forgotten fabrics, with modern silhouettes, creating contemporary work rooted in sustainability and cultural preservation.

Not What You Think is neither departure nor conclusion, but an extension of Singh’s ongoing curiosity into the spaces between perception and reality, a collection that asks to be felt, like a dream that doesn’t fade.
Polimoda extends its congratulations to Shivin Singh on this presentation and wishes him continued success in his future endeavors. We are proud to support alumni who push the boundaries of contemporary fashion while honoring cultural heritage, and we look forward to following Absent Findings’ evolving journey with great anticipation.
