Food and fashion are linked together by common details. Both are made with a fusion of colors, shapes, feelings, memories and imagination. Exactly like fashion, food is intrinsically connected to the expression of the inner personality and the experience of a lifestyle.
Florence is known the world over as a haven for food lovers, and now, with Polimoda’s Food Styling course, you can learn from some of the best in the business. Designed for hotel and restaurant chefs who are looking to broaden their horizons and skill sets, this six-day intensive course will feature the participation of Michelin-starred chefs Roberto & Enrico Cerea, Enrico Bartolini and Mauro Uliassi, who will share their wealth of knowledge and expertise with you.
The world of culinary arts will join the world of fashion and luxury in a unique creative experience. Creative Director Massimiliano Giornetti, Trend Forecaster Li Edelkoort and Fashion Stylist Serge Girardi will introduce you to fashion design, the latest social trends, fashion iconography, styling foundations and photology. You’ll learn about composition, color theory and how to create visually stunning designs able to impress. This is an incredible opportunity to enhance your artistic skills and expand your culinary repertoire.
Brought together and taught in Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance, this unprecedented merger of the sartorial with the gastronomic reveals common threads in both mediums via color, imagination, sensory appeal, style and presentation secrets, as well as chefs’ abilities to capture moods and create unforgettable images and flavors.
Food photography will be included in the course, teaching you how to showcase creations on social media, create mood boards and set tables that turn meals into edible works of art. Then, “The Sociology of the Imaginary” workshop will dive into epicurean perceptions and preconceptions of food.
You’ll learn from celebrity chefs and instructors who are at the top of their respective fields. You’ll also get to experience firsthand the centuries of cultural heritage and tradition that Italy has to offer.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to learn from the very best and deepen your understanding of fashion and food styling, this course is for you. Our team has put together a world-class program that will give you all the skills and knowledge you need to take your work to the next level.
