Art, by definition, is what is recognized as such through the contemplation of the observer. It has always been this way; ever since the first cave paintings. However, some artistic expressions were born with completely different purposes. That’s what Fashion is. And that’s what Linda Loppa can offer you, an experience through art and fashion. One aims at immortality while the other changes with the seasons, but both are obviously linked to an underlying commercial logic.
Linda Loppa has over 40 years’ experience in the fashion industry, and over 25 specialised in education. After landing prestigious roles such as the Head of the Fashion Department at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, first-ever director of the Museum of Fashion in Antwerp and founder of the Flanders Fashion Institute; Ms Loppa guided Polimoda as its Director for 9 years. She has mentored fashion trailblazers the likes of Martin Margiela, Raf Simons and Dries Van Noten. In her current role as Advisor Strategy & Vision based in Paris, she establishes connections and collects insight from the greater industry for the school.
