Overview

This program is multidisciplinary, comprehensive, up-to-date, professional and taught in Italian. Immediate entry into the industry from different areas of interest such as business management, market trends and brand communication—interrelated in the practice of contemporary fashion—is the main focus.

The Undergraduate in Fashion Communications covers all of the basics during the first year, including an English fashion course and management tools that are intensively developed in the second and third year. Preparation for work becomes evident in the final project, where students must be capable of selecting strategies and languages suitable to the strategic scenario of reference.

Students can access the immense Polimoda library as well as incredibly unique and mostly unpublished materials prepared by industry leaders and teachers. In addition, visionaries and industry experts host monthly guest lectures in Aula Magna. During the three-year program, visits to production sites, agencies and fairs are offered as well as the possibility to participate in competitions and real business projects.

Candidates with a secondary school (high school) diploma or equivalent are eligible and selected after the admission process. Italian language proficiency is required. Lessons take place from October to June, and amount to a total of 600 contact hours. The course is completed with an internship in a communications agency at the end of the third year. Each academic year is worth 60 credits.
