The curriculum includes: the main levers of disruption — combining creativity and technology — in the industrial environment and the smart use of Big Data — from hyper-personalization to new ethical materials; Business Plan Tools; Fashion Operations; Product Development; Industrialization; Analog Craftsmanship to the Digital Environment; Digital Strategic Planning and E-Commerce Management.
Ashley McDonnell, Global Luxury Account Manager at Google, will provide mentorship for the course. Her mentorship will include the sharing of insights from her experiences working within the luxury industry in digital roles. Ashley’s program will include theoretical content, live demos, case studies and practical activities under 6 core themes:
- Launching fashion brands online
- How can fashion brands create online presence
- Defining fashion collections with data
- Identifying high-potential markets for fashion brands through AI
- Reaching new audiences for fashion brands with Machine Learning
- Disrupting the fashion industry with technical innovations.
The course also includes: an international guest lecture by a fashion industry expert; a personal project and an individual interview with a senior teacher from the course to assess your potential and further opportunities to continue in this field of study. The whole working process and a final project will be documented in a project book, adding value to the portfolio of any type of fashion professional.
Students will become certified in the Fundamentals of Digital Marketing on completion of the program, giving them the basic digital tools to continue their education in the digital space.
Participation in this course is an excellent initial stage of preparation in the fashion business, a course of study that may continue with an Undergraduate in Fashion Business, a Master in International Fashion Business, a Master in Product Management or a Master in Fashion Marketing & Communications.
Ashley McDonell has spent the last 6 years working in Paris at the crossroads of digital and retail within the fashion and beauty industries. Ashley began her career with a luxury e-retailer, and then joined LVMH Group as a digital analyst, working with luxury houses such as Louis Vuitton and Fendi to drive digital transformation. Making a move within LVMH group, Ashley joined Dior to lead the digital strategy for the Travel Retail division, focusing on capturing the opportunity of global Chinese travelers. Now at Google, Ashley manages full-funnel digital projects for the world’s leading luxury group - helping brands achieve excellence through technology.
