Digital Fashion is a cutting-edge and forward-looking program, forming Chief Innovation Officers capable of dealing with the most urgent and critical turning points of tomorrow’s fashion such as the digitalization of the entire supply chain and the quest for sustainability in product development, operations, merchandising and retail. The main levers of disruption are the combination of creativity and technology in the industrial environment and the smart use of Big Data, from hyper-personalization to new ethical materials.
As a master course, Digital Fashion features four main modules dedicated to understanding how to challenge the status quo: Fashion Operations; the engineering of pure creativity, Product Development; from analog craftsmanship to the digital environment, Retail & Merchandising; how to welcome and communicate with the new 3.0 client and Fashion Startup; successfully running a data-driven business, both online and offline.
The Digital Fashion course is run by teachers and international lecturers with expert experience, ensuring hands-on and in-depth knowledge of the industry. It includes field trips to a major company and a trade fair as well as internship opportunities. The course concludes with the application and completion of two main projects: the creation of an innovative and unconventional product to be launched in the market and the conception of a business plan for a data-driven fashion startup.
Lessons take place from April to December and amount to a total of 700 contact hours. There is the possibility of completing the course with an internship at a fashion company, leading to the overall obtainment of 80 credits. English language proficiency and attendance are required. Candidates will be selected after an enrolment questionnaire and an interview with the course’s leading teacher.
Upon completion of the Master, students will be automatically given the possibility to partake in the Polimoda Talent 2019/2020 program.
