The Associate program in Digital Marketing & Communications is a sharp, complete, current and professional program, with both strong creative and technical focus on omnichannel marketing strategies applied to the new digital fashion system. This course promotes immediate entry into the workforce and includes several areas such as digital fashion and social communications, marketing trends, packaging, graphic design, strategic planning and brand communications; all interconnected in contemporary fashion practice.

Overview

The Associate program in Digital Marketing & Communications instantly offers the necessary tools for communications, digital advertising, social media management, media planning and 360° creativity; a full-immersive program rapidly teaching the know-hows of fashion marketing, from micro tactics to macro strategies. Preparation for employment becomes clear in the final project, where students must master a selection of appropriate strategies, tones of voices and language for a specific and real case study.
 
The program gives students access to Polimoda’s immense library and monthly guest lectures by visionaries and experts in the field. Guided by teachers from the industry who provide original teaching material, students will visit advertising agencies, companies, trade fairs, and graphic design studios and are able to participate in competitions and applied projects with businesses throughout the two-year program.

Candidates with a secondary school (high school) diploma or equivalent are eligible and selected after the admission process. English language proficiency is required. Lessons take place from October to June, and amount to a total of 600 contact hours. The course is completed with an internship in a fashion company or communications company at the end of the second year. Each academic year is worth 60 credits.

Second year: Creativity & Applications
Product Communications, Web Marketing, Blogging & PR, Strategic Planning, Event Management, Fashion Leadership, Account Management, E-Commerce, Web Marketing, Industry Project, Fashion Law & Trademarks, Global Economy.

Applied projects, Project Work (Laboratories), Seminars, Workshops as well as company and museum visits are also included throughout the two years.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Associate program, students will be able to:

  • Develop original, creative and out-of-the-box ideas in print, video, new media and integrated campaigns.
  • Maximize the impact of marketing strategies via media planning in relation to a given budget while managing deadlines.
  • Create a sustainable business model utilizing omnichannel marketing strategies, persuasion theories and digital advertising techniques.
  • Create content for magazines, webzines, newspapers, blogs, corporate materials and publications.
  • Effectively deliver formal presentations in front of a variety of live audiences.

Career opportunities

Graduates in Digital Marketing & Communications are qualified to work in prominent roles in companies (Social Media Manager, Communications Manager, Media Planner, Marketing Manager), in distribution (E-Commerce Manager, Visual Merchandiser), in advertising and communications (Communications Manager, Graphic Designer, Fashion Editor, Blogger, Copywriter, Accountant, PR, Event Manager, Strategic Planner), work freelance or even launch their own Creative Studio.

The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (The National Chamber for Italian Fashion) is the non-profit Association which disciplines, coordinates and promotes the development of Italian Fashion. The Association represents all the highest cultural values of Italian Fashion and it aims to protect, co-ordinate and strengthen its image, both in Italy and abroad.

The Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana is comprised by 111 Associates and is the point of reference for all the national and international initiatives aimed at valuing and promoting Italian style and Fashion. 

The Association also organizes Milano Fashion Week, the premier fashion industry event, which gives brands the opportunity to showcase their collections twice a year for men's collections and twice a year for women's.
