As the Latins would say, omne trium perfectum – Good things come in threes. After the successful ratings of 2015 and 2016, Polimoda cements its role as one of the top ten fashion institutes worldwide according to Business Of Fashion’s Annual Global Fashion School Rankings, landing 5th place among the Fashion Business graduate programs and once more claiming pole position on a national level.

A testament to Polimoda’s non-stop commitment to excellence, this result is bound to trigger new initiatives, investigations and ideas. Over the course of the past year, Polimoda has radically transformed the range of courses on offer, ready to brave the increasingly demanding requirements of the fashion industry and create the metamorphic minds of tomorrow. Danilo Venturi, Director and prime mover of Polimoda’s winning educational program, has set forth a new era of major collaborations, bringing the number of specialization areas from 3 to 4 (Fashion Design, Fashion Business, Art Direction and Design Management).

With this important acknowledgement another groundbreaking year for Polimoda comes to a close, registering a 34% growth in enrollments and a record high of over 2000 students, of which 2/3rds are international and flock to Florence from all over the world. 2017 has also witnessed the establishment of major international collaborations between our institute and fashion giants such as LVMH, Gucci and WGSN; while some of the industry’s lead experts have been recruited as guest lecturers and mentors for the benefit of our didactic offer. The Business of Fashion’s Rankings further confirm Polimoda’s leadership role and cultural value within the global landscape of today’s fashion education.

Result of an in-depth survey conducted among students and alumni from 73 schools, Business of Fashion’s Global Fashion School Rankings take into consideration all the manifold aspects of each institution, from global influence to long-term value and learning experience. Feedback was also offered by over HR professionals, global fashion influencers and academics.
