The merchandising manager is responsible for supplying; making sure that the product is in the right place at the right time and in the right quantity. They work in collaboration with the buyer and retail manager to organise purchasing operations and define strategic guidelines for the distribution of products. The merchandising manager also works in close contact with the marketing department to define the right pricing policy, thus playing a very important role in the strategic positioning of a product/brand.
Required skills/profile: awareness of fashion and change, analytical and forecasting skills, interpretation of data and team work.
