Flip to the 90s

With his epic mix of Italian tailoring and Filipino/American hip-hop culture, Gianfranco Villegas walked the Parisian catwalk with legendary Italian brand Sergio Tacchini, using garments from its historic 90s archive to restructure sportswear both aesthetically and conceptually. Created in collaboration with the Polimoda alumnus’ clothing label Self Made, the mini capsule collection consisted of cool, oversized pieces marked by clever embroidery, with a playful editing of Tacchini’s brand logo and sports accessories.

A Royal Affair

Polimoda alumnus Edgardo Osorio, founder and designer of Aquazzura, took his luxury footwear line to new heights this year, making headlines for his envy-worthy satin slippers worn by Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, on her royal wedding day.
