Definition:  Bottom part of the tape without teeth which is inserted into the garment and sewn to it and which is used to secure the zipper to the garment. In open-end zippers an insert pin, a retaining box (that can be considered the ending parts of the chain), a slider (if the zipper is a two-way separating zipper), and a reinforcing tape are applied to the the bottom tape extension.
