Noun phrase
Countable
Definition:  Zipper with a metal chain and with the teeth inserted in the tape. The standard measures are: 3mm, 5mm and 8mm (which are the width of the teeth). The colors of the chain are limited to the colors that can be obtained from metals such as copper, antiqued copper, brass, alluminum, etc. Nickel, highly allergenic, is no more used because forbidden by law. Now nickel free metals are used.

Context:  Metal zippers have been around quite a while. In fact, the first zippers were made of metal back in 1893. Metal zippers are available in four different finishes: aluminium (chain that is constructed principally from aluminium), brass (chain that is constructed of brass, typically a combination of copper and zinc), antique brass (chain made from brass that is chemically treated to give the appearance of worn or tarnished brass.), black oxidized (chain made from brass that is chemically treated to a black matte finish).
