Printing method in which colors are printed directly onto fabric, paper or vynil film. The design is etched into the copper surface, one roller is required for each color, also known as application or gravure printing.

Context:
It is possible to produce a simple design or a figurative picture composition on a textile base using different direct printing methods. For example it can be achieved by painting a thickened dye-solution onto the cloth or by applying it with a stamp or stencil.
