Definition:  Loose-fitting, lightweight sports jacket worn by men since the turn of the 20th century. Blazers were originally made of flannel with either bold regimental stripes of solid colour or thin stripes. During the 192Os, the style was appropriated by women and worn with pleated skirts, shirts and ties.
FFD, 1998
Context:  White pleather (plastic leather) stretch pants from the ’80s and a ’60s British flag T-shirt bought at a second-hand shop on the King’s Road might be a bit kitschy and flashy on their own. But add a black tailored blazer and suddenly it all works.
