  PORTFOLIO for Fashion Designers
Content

The course is aimed at students, young fashion designers and anyone else who needs to organise and prepare a portfolio to show their creativity and professionalism in the fashion sector. Portfolios are indispensable tools for job interviews, job competitions or postgraduate courses.

It is an intense course, lasting just three months, whose aim is to provide guidance to students in preparing and achieving a result that highlights each participant’s individual and unique skills.
The lessons are held by professionals with a great deal of experience in the world of fashion. At the end of the course the students have to present the outcome of their work to a board of experts for assessment.

 

 

 
 
Program
Course Contents

The main subjects are: concept, research, trends, how to keep a sketch book, graphical presentation of a collection, layouts, technical details, specific use of the computer, look books, putting together a CV and press releases as well as organising a portfolio of specific collections for men, children, knitwear, lingerie, fur, footwear or any other fashion product that the participant is interested in.
At the end of the course, each student will have their own very individual portfolio.

Subjects
  • Sketch book, indispensable companion to the portfolio – conceptual thought.
  • Portfolio organisational techniques and contents. Appearance and format.
  • Collections: inspiration, concept, topic, fabrics, colours.
  • Collection plan, layouts and technical details. Using the computer.
  • Collection presentation panels.
  • Specific collections: men’s – children’s – knitwear – lingerie – footwear – accessories.
  • CV, brochures, visual communication.
