First Term
| Business Plan I: all the analytical stages in creating a business plan for spa companies. This includes various steps, such as: SWOT analysis, choosing products and services, the marketing plan (principles of marketing), forecasting (principles of management), choosing a location, developing and choosing the products, the staff set-up, the type of company (the legal structure), the financial plan, TQM programming (Total Quality Management), the insurance plan, communications plan, etc. The teachers will be from both Polimoda and spa companies (the professional figures involved in each stage of the business plan) and from the worlds of insurance and banking. |

| Spa Products I: basic know-how on subjects chosen by the mentor on the basis of their importance in managing spas – diagnostics, dietetics, specialist examinations, blood chemistry analysis, Bioaquam® circuits, therapeutic spa pool, spa circuits and hydrotherapy circuits in spa water. Spa treatments, inhalation therapies, massage, oriental disciplines. There will be 2/3 visits to companies before commencing each group of topics. Teachers from spa companies. |

| Human Resources: The main human resources to employ in spas. As well as employment conditions, dealing with employee turnover, and organising their roles. Teachers from Polimoda and a spa. |
| Spa Products II:Energy techniques, harmony therapy, fitness, water fitness, ancient Mediterranean oil treatments, intensive programmes, beauty treatments, beauty service, hairdressing, cosmetic medicine, day spa programmes, cosmetics. There will be 2/3 visits to companies before commencing each group of topics. Teachers from spa companies. |

| Company Visits: at least one a week. Of extreme importance to get an idea of the disciplines. To make it easier for the spa tutors, the lessons may be held at the spa company. There will also be a visit to an important sector trade fair.
