This
course is the answer to the growing need of pattern makers on the
part of the firms of the sector. They need professionals able to work
in complete autonomy and with exceptional technical knowledge to face
the most unexpected demands of the fashion designer.
The course treats women clothing and the first year is dedicated to
learning of the basic patterns, such as skirts, bodices, shirts, pants,
and to the introduction of the techniques of the transformation of
these bases to reach the desired model. The technique of the wrapping,
the history of fashion, the technique of the patterns and the study
of the English language complete the program of the first year.
During the second year, the students will study the technical bases
of the suit and deepen their knowledge of the transformation technique
of the bases. They will also prepare individual projects. Textile
science, the programs Cad-Cam, the control of the quality and the
study of the English language complete the formation.
Methodology
Qualified teachers and professionals of the sector give their lessons
in pattern making, sewing, sketching and computer science in functional
laboratories.
The students will have to stand various proofs in order to verify
their advances in the study plan. They also have to prepare their
presentations with photographic style and fashion design researches.
Fieldtrips to fabricants of the sector (fur, leather, cloth), textile
brands, museums and fashion shows complete the program.
Program
Besides the technique of the industrial construction of models,
the students have to acquire the ability to analyze and to interpret
the proportions, the silhouette and the style of the designs for
the preparation of the pattern
The planning and the elaboration of the patterns and the study of
the traditional and innovative materials will familiarize the student
with the numerous essential creative techniques of the planning
and the development of a collection.
After the conclusion of the two years the students will have the
opportunity to show their creations to a large public during the
final fashion show.
