  THREE YEAR COURSE: PRODUCT & INTERIOR DESIGN
Content

The aim of the course is to train professionals with a critical and design methodology which allows the interaction between the design of the object and space.

The course offers a solid cultural, esthetic and technological preparation. It uses new methodological and research processes, in order to stimulate innovative solutions from a creative point of view as well as in the managing of communicative and productive processes. At the end of the studies the students will be prepared to enter a job market that requires new professionals capable of interacting with projects which require diversified expertise. They will be able to offer a professional service in the creation and development of new concepts that optimize the function, the value and the appearance of the products and systems for the reciprocal benefit of both the user and the producer.

FINAL EVENTS
At the end of the course an exhibition will be organized as well as initiatives aimed at introducing the graduates to the work field, to which entrepreneurs in the sector and specialized press will be invited.
 
Program Content
The course is based on a modern culture of flexible and multidisciplinary designing. The first year focuses on learning the basis of cultural skills, of graphic and technological representation. The second years concentrates on applying the skills and utilizing the instruments through specific design applications. The third year is dedicated to professional orientation and to developing projects in interdisciplinary work teams. The course studies conclude with a project Thesis, in which the students have the possibility of choosing and working on an industrial design, interior design or exhibit design project, at the end of which the students have to show that they have acquired an independent design and critical ability. The student preparation is based on the constant relationship with the work field. Ways of collaborating with companies and research centers will be arranged and visits to industries, handicraft workshops, professional studios and fairs will be organized.

Eligibility  
The enrolment is open to candidates who hold a high school diploma. The course is for a fixed number.
 
Employment Opportunities  
° Industrial designer, interior designer, and exhibit designer at companies or professional studios.
° Consultant for companies in the sector
° Free-lance designer 

In order to enter the internship program, perspective interns have an interview with their Head of Department, who assesses their preparation and motivation. Other elements taken into consideration are their attendance record, their grade point average and the documentation required by the students' regulations. On the basis of merit, the Head of Department proceeds then to direct students to the kind of firms they can get in contact with for their period of internship.
