  POLIMODA FOUNDATION COURSE
Content  
This course provides basic creative techniques that subsequently allow students access to the three-year Polimoda program that best suits their skills and interests:
Fashion Design
Shoe and Accessory Design
Women's Patternmaking
Fashion Marketing

The course is designed for all the young people who haven't got a specific fashion background but are fascinated with the world of fashion and would like to enter into that realm through directed studies. The course provides the basic elements contained in the various Polimoda specializations, therefore giving the student the tools necessary to make an informed choice.

Content
Besides various techniques such as artistic drawing, the stylization of a fashion plate and the introduction to multi-media uses, students will also discover their manual dexterity by studying the basics behind draping, sewing, patternmaking and knitting.
Analytical and experimental and research methodologies are essential components acquired by students in order to undertake a career in the fashion sector.
To further understand the complexities and dynamics of fashion, basic Marketing will also be taught.
Field trips to exhibitions, trade fairs, galleries and museums will complete the larger picture of the multi-faceted world of fashion.

Eligibility  
The course is open to all high school graduates. Class size is limited.
 
Admissions  
The admission exam includes: " Written or graphic test to be prepared at home following instructions given by the school, and if possible submission of a portfolio. " Interview and practical test
 
Course duration  
The course lasts 1 year.
