The
objective of the course is the development of the creative talent
of young people who plan to become professional fashion designers.
It widens their abilities through research, observation and close
examination of the methods for the creation of an innovative and individual
fashion collection.
The students are encouraged to observe, to study and to examine the
crucial moments of the history of fashion and how these developments
contribute to the fashion of nowadays. The continuous research of
fine arts, history, ethnic sources and of past and present events,
will conduct them to a completely unique and personal vision of the
fashion.
Program
During the first year the participants of the course study the bases
of the various techniques of graphic representation, the fashion patterns,
the history of clothing, textile science, English, sewing and hosiery
and how to use Power Point and Photo Shop. The second year deepens
the study and the planning of fashion collections, and the students
can chose between the study of hosiery or masculine clothing. The
third year is dedicated to the planning and realization of each student's
own fashion collection, preceded by an accurate personal research
and the development of an innovative collection concept that will
be the base of the thesis. Other subjects to study are the technical
structure of a collection, the organization of a portfolio, the visual
communication and some notions of marketing. At the end of the academic
year, the students present their personal collection in a fashion
event to important professionals of the industry, to the press and
to a large public. At the end of the course, all the students have
to do an internship of 3 months.
The final fashion show
This is the moment of verification of the reached results. The parade
allows the mole alumni to show their creativeness and ability introducing
their final collection to the public.
The student is the author of the models but also the art director
of his/her show. It will face the test most important of his/her academic
run and it will give test of his/her individuality of creative in
front of the press, the experts of the sector and a vast composite
public.
