Polimoda
has a new didactic director
Linda Loppa, the new creative energy from the Fashion
Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp
The directors' board from Polimoda, international Institute for Fashion
Design and Marketing, has nominated Linda Loppa didactic director of the
school. Linda Loppa is an important person in the international fashion
panorama and already director of the Fashion Department of the Royal Academy
of Fine Arts in Antwerp as well as founder of the Flanders Fashion Institute
in Antwerp. She is also internationally recognized as the scout of some
of the best creative talents who came out during the last years, and of
the Fashion Museum "MoMu."
Ferruccio Ferragamo, the president of Polimoda, declares, "One of
the key points of my program is strengthening the school's didactic. To
be able to face this challenge in the best way, we wanted to collaborate
with Linda Loppa, knowing that her projectistic abilities and her professional
background could help us a lot in creating the bases for a new development
cycle of the school and in provoking an important relapse on the Italian
fashion system and our territory of reference."
Linda Loppa was born in Antwerp (Belgium) and has 25 years of didactic
and managing experience within the fashion formation. She will be responsible
of Polimoda's didactics and work side by side with Philip Taylor, the
General Director.
Polimoda's new didactic director declared, "The Italian fashion design
has been a big inspiration at the beginning of my career and the fashion
education is a passion that has always guided my life. I am extremely
happy to transfer this passion for fashion and style to Polimoda and to
collaborate with the school's team. Polimoda has registered a constant
growth during the last 8 years (about 10% per year), in addition to the
activation of an ample range of new courses (post-diploma as well as post-degree
masters). Nowadays Polimoda has about 900 enrolled students, with an occupation
rate of more than 85% (6 months after the diploma) in the selected field
of specialization. (14/09/2006)(ANSA
A comment by Director General Polimoda Phil Taylor
I am exteremly happy at Linda's arrival.
She is considered by us ( and not only by us ) to be one of the most important
didactic impulses in the fashion industry today at an international level.
Her arrival re-enforces our offer to students very considerably indeed.
But Linda is also a very excellent personality - a very hard worker and
a super team player and these qualities are very very important to us
too in Polimoda.
