This course is a preparatory course or an introduction of 10 weeks to orient students by studying specific Fashion Design disciplines.

 

If you are uncertain Fashion Design is your future, or you miss some skills to enter the Fashion Design course, this introduction will help you to develop the skills you need, weather those skills are technical, creative or graphical.

 

Upon completion of the course, students can be accepted to start studying at one of Polimoda’s Design department courses without participating at the entrance examination, after an interview with the head of Department.

POLIMODA|COURSE|DESCRIPTION

A full-immersion in the Fashion World, focusing on the methods of Research, Design, Fashion Graphics, Pattern Design, Sewing and Draping and Fashion History. Students will gain first experiences in event management being involved in fairs and events such as Open Day, Polimoda Fashion Week and the annual Fashion show in June.

Evaluations on regular bases will guide you to the process of Fashion Design.

COURSE|STUDY|PLAN

Atelier Design: Fashion Design, Academic Drawing techniques.
Technical Atelier: Introduction to Pattern Design, Sewing and draping.
Theory: Introduction History of Costume and Fashion Forecasting
Research: in different fields of culture, art and fashion.
Event Organisation: an introduction in the different fields of events in fashion.

The course is open to school-leavers, graduates, undergraduates and professionals with experience in the world of Fashion and Design who intend to master the basic techniques and crafts.
