A one-year preparatory course that introduces the fashion world to students who wish to gain a basic knowledge of the Design and Marketing disciplines.
The course will guide students in deciding their preferred field of study: Fashion Design, Pattern Making, Shoe and Accessories Design or Marketing.
Students will gain in maturity and learn presentation skills that will aid their selection for all design courses at Polimoda or at other International schools.
A year of practical preparation in Fashion Design, Knitwear, Shoe and Accessories Design, Academic Drawing Techniques, Computer Graphics, Pattern Making and Sewing, History of Costume, Trend Research and an introduction to Fashion Marketing. Students will have a solid foundation on which to base their degree studies.
Design Atelier: Fashion, Bags, Shoe and Accessories Design, Academic Drawing Techniques.
Technical Workshop: Introduction to Pattern Making and Sewing, Knitwear, Computer Graphics.
Theory: History of Costume and Accessories, Fashion Forecasting and Trend Research.
Marketing: Introduction to Marketing.
ELIGIBILITY
Post high/secondary school students, requiring familiarity with basic design techniques, knowledge and theory will be able to study all fashion related disciplines such as fashion communication and fashion design.
HOW TO APPLY
No entry examination.
