Continually growing in importance, the Fashion Coordinator is a versatile professional figure in a pivotal position between the design and marketing sectors of a company. The coordinator of a collection is expected to filter and present market information which will assist the stylistic development of the collection.
The coordinator works with the styling office in the programming and management of the collection’s development, and at the same time with the marketing office to interpret individual client suggestions and the results of broader market research. The coordinator also works with the communications department and on the organization of events to present the collection.

In the first term students receive an introduction to the three areas covered by this specialization; Design, Marketing and Communication. In the second part of the course a brand or a designer company is analyzed in order to develop individual proposals to the various sectors of the company. Finally, projects demonstrating the student’s assessment of the success of a collection and making recommendations for retail, sales, editing and marketing will be presented to tutors and fashion professionals. In addition, the project includes supervision of promotions and organization of events. The final presentation will determine the future profile, interests and qualifications of the fashion coordinator.
