Accessory Designers enhance a silhouette, adding their signature style to a contemporary collection. Accessories must emphasise a look and create the right mood; they often indicate cultural and social status and must be useful, consistent and durable.
The Master programme teaches students how to interpret, design and realize collections of accessories. They learn how to maintain artistic integrity in their work, respecting the styles of other creative persons involved in a collection. They must be able to effectively present their style in the world of fashion and collaborate with brands and designers.
The Fashion Bags and Accessories Course is based on the traditions and expertise of craft and sartorial skills. The personal and cultural development of the student is stimulated, leading to the creation and professional presentation of an innovative accessories collection, reflecting both the spirit of the moment and a mature designer’s profile.

The Master programme takes students through the various stages involved in the development of a collection and a personal presentation.
In the first part of the course the cultural background of students is strengthened through study and research into cultural aspects of contemporary fashion and art.
This is followed by teaching the technical and creative skills for bag or accessory design such as graphic design, pattern making, prototyping and artisan skills. Students learn the standards of craftsmanship, creative design, realization of prototypes and forms that ultimately can be used in production.
Subsequently each student will be taken through the stages of creating and producing a contemporary collection.
Lastly, the designers will learn to raise the image of a collection by presenting it professionally using an interdisciplinary approach which will include an event, the creation of a portfolio, a look book and internet and video presentations.
