In the Fashion world, shoes are the most complicated and sophisticated of all projects, requiring specific knowledge of structures and procedures to create a viable product. Most of the world's Luxury and Fashion footwear is developed through Italy's long tradition of fine craftsmanship, excellent materials and design.
The Course is intended as a conclusion to the Shoe Designer’s training and aims to stimulate personal and cultural development, leading to the creation and presentation of a collection in a professional and effective manner.
Students learn the standards of craftsmanship, creative design, realization of prototypes and forms that ultimately can be brought into production.
By the end of the Master the Shoe Designer will have acquired the ability to communicate the results of his studies and will be able to produce an original, recognizable collection, fully expressing and embodying his own individual ideas and concepts.

The Master programme takes students through the different steps in the development of a collection and a personal presentation.
In the first part of the course the cultural background of students is strengthened through study and research into cultural aspects of contemporary Fashion and Art.
This is followed by teaching the technical and creative skills for Shoe Design such as graphic design, pattern making, prototyping and artisan crafts.
Subsequently each student will be taken through the stages of creating and producing a contemporary shoe collection.
Lastly, the designers will learn to enhance the collection by presenting it professionally using an interdisciplinary approach which will include an event, the creation of a portfolio, a look book and internet and video presentations.
