The Master programme is intended for young Designers who wish to develop their personal style in creating a fashion collection and their own brand. A highly specialised intensive programme, based on the fundamentals for achieving success in Fashion Design: creativity, assurance of expression, attention to individual cultural development, a passion for research.
The Course is intended as a conclusion to the Fashion Designer’s training and aims to stimulate personal and cultural development, leading to the creation and presentation of a fashion collection in a professional and effective manner.
By the end of the Master the Designer will have acquired the ability to communicate the results of his studies and will be able to produce an original, recognizable collection, fully expressing and embodying his own individual ideas and concepts.
The Master programme takes students through the different steps in the development of a collection and a personal presentation.
In the first part of the course the cultural background of students is strengthened through study and research into cultural and artistic concepts, and aspects of Contemporary Fashion.
This is followed by teaching the technical skills for design such as pattern making, draping and textile development, involving the realization of prototypes.
Subsequently each student will be taken through the stages of producing a collection of at least eight outfits.
Lastly, the designers will learn to enhance the collection by presenting it professionally using an interdisciplinary approach which will include an event, the creation of a portfolio, a look book and internet and video presentations.

ELIGIBILITY
The Masters course is open to graduates (or equivalent), degree students and fashion professionals with at least 2/3 years professional experience in the sector. Preference will be given to Fashion Design and Art graduates. For internships in Italian companies Italian language is desirable.
HOW TO APPLY
Candidates will be selected according to:
- presentation of a portfolio and curriculum vitae;
- a motivation letter / essay;
- an interview with the Head of the Design Department.
