From January 2012 the Polimoda Library move to Villa Favard.
The Fashion Library / Documentation Center "Matteo Lanzoni" is the most significant international collection of fashion-related materials existing in Italy at the present time, and it represents a major resource of information, research, and inspiration: monographs, periodicals, video materials, look books, rare, antique and, valuable materials.
It contains a book collection covering the complete range of fashion in its diverse aspects:
History of Costume, Fashion, and Fashion Design
Sociology of Fashion
Tailoring, Study of Textiles, and History of Textiles
Photography, especially Fashion Photography, and Cinema
Art, Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design
Minor Arts (Jewelry and Crafts)
Drawing and Graphics (Fashion Plate)
Fashion Marketing, Visual Merchandising
Users have direct access (open consultation) to: books, current issues of magazines, past volumes of certain magazines, commercial catalogs and look books.
Regarding audiovisual material and some valuable books kept in the closets, users must refer to our staff.

Everybody can access Polimoda library by paying an entrance fee: Students from other institutes or universities, designers and professionals of the fashion field are regular customers of the library.
Polimoda is proud to offer to the public its unique collection of fashion magazines.
It includes magazines' past issues, covers designed by famed illustrators, the first color photographs on the covers of the most important fashion periodicals. And more: all the news about fashion, mode, trends…
The Vogue Archive contains the entire digitalized collection of Vogue USA, from 1892 to today. Over 400,000 pages, reproduced in high-resolution colour images, indexed by research criteria and key words, to conduct targeted searches: in just a few minutes, you will have at disposal over a century of Fashion.
