The Swatch Lab is located on the ground floor of the Stables in Villa Strozzi and it represents a great asset to Polimoda students, who can find there more than 15.000 samples of fabrics, color samples and yarn for their studies and collections. Polimoda’s mission is to promote a direct relationship between students and the reality of fashion industries and this is the reason why all the material available in the Swatch Lab is specifically labelled, allowing students to know the name and composition of each piece of fabric coming from different companies, so that they can test the different products on the market. In the Swatch Lab students will also find copies of all the major fashion and design publications, along with a Shop where they can purchase materials and instruments for their didactic researches.
