Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Armani, Emilio Pucci, Prada and Dolce e Gabbana are some of the ambassadors of Italian fashion in the world. Italian Fashion and the way of conceiving fashion in Italy is the envy of the world: style, luxury, quality and craftsmanship, exclusivity, uniqueness and elegance.

The geography of fashion is on the move: globalisation, organisation of production, consumer practices and economic growth in several major countries. In order to compete, fashion has to be able to open up to new markets, exploiting the growth of new countries increasingly interested in exploring western tastes and trends.

Russia, China, India, Brazil, Japan and Vietnam...new global players, new consumers, different local cultures, different lifestyles: thus the benchmark activities for the development of new outlet markets for companies in the fashion sector hinge on the adaptation of product assortments and targeted strategies of marketing and communication.

Dynamism, creativity, vision, intuition, innovation and internationalism: these are the fundamental qualities required to become a marketing development manager. The objectives to be pursued for a cutting-edge training  projected towards the future include mastering the technical and managerial skills for the economic management of the warehouses, the assortments, the financial aspects of branding, the costs, the marketing budget and the definition of the business plan.

The course develops along two training paths. One is directed towards knowledge of the fashion system, of the fashion product from design through to realisation, mastering the technical know-how to perform trend analysis and understand the psychological mechanisms inherent to purchasing, brands, loyalty-building and the use of commercial structures, in accordance with the specific features of the markets and through an understanding of diversity filtered through the delocalisation of the Italian product abroad. The other pivots on training modules of a high-end slant dealing with economics and finance (business), strategy, organisation, design and management.

Highly qualified professionals capable of working both in Italy and abroad and covering roles in the areas of marketing, management, economics and finance (business), marketing and communication: Marketing Manager, Marketing Development Manager, Brand Manager, Export Manager, International Retail Manager,  International Communication Manager.

Fashion and Product: knowledge of fashion, its evolution, the fashion system and international development; understanding it and being able to communicate it on the basis of its psycho-social content. Analysing the consumer and the process that leads to product acquisition, studying it starting from trend research through to development, through a knowledge of materials and the production system. How to communicate fashion, through which media; focus on the international fairs and shows.

Merchandising & Management: from market research through to strategic and operational decisions; from the domestic market to international strategies through to focus on the markets (Russia – China –Japan–Arab countries – India - South America etc.); from the financial aspects of branding to brand management.  Linking supply and demand – distribution channels and logistics at global level (supply chain), international retail, assortments, visual merchandising  and customer relationship management.

Project  & Management: definition of the business plan – management of all the operational phases of a project, optimisation and allocation of resources for the achievement of the objectives. Economic and financial management of a fashion company, system of planning, structure of assets, definition of the budget and the operational goals, analysis of costs and revenues, investments, profits and earnings.
