Fashion Media & Digital Communications is the ultimate program to create the perfect Fashion Creative, with a specific focus on interactive media, digital styling, online advertising, social media, strategic planning and storytelling.
The course is run by resident teachers and guest lecturers from the industry. The program is further enriched by by field trips to fashion companies and agencies, visits to the most important fashion museums in Florence – such as Ferragamo Museum – and full access to Polimoda’s library – one of the most important fashion libraries in the world. Students will have the opportunity to study both in Italy and in China, and have part of the classes at the Condé Nast Center of Fashion & Design, Shanghai.
Throughout the course, the students will receive instructions and tutorship to work on a project divided in small groups, demonstrating their ability of transforming ideas into creative proposals.
The course will consist of 700 contact hours: 500 hours at Polimoda in Italy and 200 hours in Condé Nast Center of Fashion & Design Shanghai, the fashion capital of China; it will combine classroom lectures, discussion sessions, interactive hands-on materials and workshops, field trips and the development and presentation of a Final Project. The Final Project will be presented by the students at the end of the course, and will become part of their portfolio.
The two areas, Fashion Media and Digital Communications take concrete form in the following modules:
Contemporary Fashion, Sociology of the Imaginary, Fashion Styling, Strategic Planning, Copywriting, Advertising, Media Buying, Visual Communication and Events & Press Office.
Fashion Marketing, Digital Marketing & Communications, Account Management, Digital Styling, Social Media Strategy and Fashion Future.
Fashion Media & Digital Communications also features an extensive program of seminars and guest lectures such as: Fashion Writing, Fashion Blogging, Phonology, Video Making, Visual Merchandising, Public Speaking Techniques.
By attending Fashion Media & Digital Communications, you can become the creative strategist behind an online communication campaign to promote a single person, brand, a shop or a range of products specifically for fashion and its related industries. Other possibilities include a Web Content Manager or a blogger, whether for a company, a full-service advertising agency, or an online or paper publication.
