Fashion Design Management
Design Management · Undergraduate
Fashion Luxury Design aims to create a highly specialised designer who’s able to design and create accessories that offset or enhance the garments and outfits of a collection. These pieces include jewellery, brooches, cufflinks, tie pins and also eyewear. This creative sector is continuing to grow in importance and therefore requires increasingly specialised professionals.
The curriculum includes: study of the history of jewellery and accessories; raw materials; craft to business; 3D printing; fashion consumer behaviour; intellectual property, and fashion design.
The course also includes: a visit to the Gucci and Ferragamo museums; an international guest lecture by a fashion industry expert; a personal project; and an individual interview with a senior teacher from the course to assess your potential and further opportunities to continue in this field of study. The whole working process and final projects will be documented in a design book, adding value to the portfolio of any fashion designer.
Participation in this course is an excellent initial stage of preparation in the fashion business, a course of study that may continue with the 4-year undergraduate degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Technology or Fashion Design Management, or the 9-month master’s degree in Fashion Buying & Product Development or Accessories Design.
