Fashion Design Management is an introductory course for the contemporary designer, not only from a creative, visionary and artistic viewpoint, but also from one of management and business. This person is able to create a collection starting from a business idea and a view on strategy and trends, alongside an in-depth knowledge of the fashion system and the communications of a brand and a product.
The curriculum includes: contemporary fashion; the sociology of the imaginary; textile science; fashion brand management; fashion design.
The course also includes: a visit to the Gucci and Ferragamo museums; an international guest lecture by a fashion industry expert; a personal project; and an individual interview with a senior teacher from the course to assess your potential and further opportunities to continue in this field of study. The whole working process and final projects will be documented in a design book, adding value to the portfolio of any fashion designer.
Participation in this course is an excellent initial stage of preparation in the fashion business, a course of study that may continue with the 4-year undergraduate degree in Fashion Design or Fashion Design Management or the 9-month master’s degree in Creative Direction, Fashion Design, Fashion Buying & Product Development or Collection Design.
