Fashion Accessories Design lays the foundations to enter the field of accessory design, bringing together creativity and design skills for bags, and fabric design for ties, scarves, small leather goods and hats. The course offers an opportunity to study avant-garde techniques with an eye on tradition, alternating theory with practical workshops dedicated to different accessories and explaining the processes from the creative idea to the practical result.
The curriculum includes: metal accessories design; eyewear design; fashion design; design drawing; illustration; textile science; pattern making; 3D printing; trend research and fashion trend forecasting.
The course also includes: a visit to the Gucci and Ferragamo museums; an international guest lecture by a fashion industry expert; a personal project; and an individual interview with a senior teacher from the course to assess your potential and further opportunities to continue in this field of study. The whole working process and final projects will be documented in a design book, adding value to the portfolio of any fashion designer.
Participation in this course is an excellent initial stage of preparation in the fashion and design businesses, a course of study that may continue with the 4-year undergraduate degree in Fashion Design, Leather Technology or the 9-month master’s degree in Accessories Design.
